How To Booklet

Grip the club and make sure ball is position in the middle of your stance which should be roughly shoulder width apart.  Align club face to the desired direction of the shot. Bend knees.

Position yourself a comfortable distance away from the ball so that you are not reaching for it, or crammed to close.  There be a few inches between your body and your hands as you address the ball.  Align your body to the target by using your shoulders and feet. If your body is straight and you swing along your body lines, the ball will go towards your target.  Begin the “takeaway” of your backswing.  Use only your shoulders to move the club back and keep your head still.  Being to rotate your hips and shoulders as you continue to get deeper into the backswing. As your backswing continues, keep your left arm as straight as possible and begin to “break” your wrist as you hinge up towards the top of the backswing. Keep a solid base and ensure your front leg is becoming straighter.  The backswing should end once your club is parallel to the ground and your left shoulder has rotated under your chin.  Look at the position of your club face and wrist.  The wrist should appear to be flat while the toe or end of the club should be pointed towards the ground.

Now it is time to start the downswing. Begin throw downswing as if you were pulling with your hands and shoulders and begin to start rotating your body again in the opposite direction.

While pulling down keep your hands close to your body and keep both feet on the ground as long as possible.  As you get close to impacting the golf ball, feel as if you were locking your arms right at the point of impact, however you must keep rotating your arms, wrists, torso, and hips as you swing through the ball.  Keep your head down as long as possible, your caddie will watch the ball for you.  Simultaneously, open your left hip/pocket as if someone were pulling you backwards from there so you can “clear your hips."  Continue rotating all parts of the body and again feel as if you're extending your arms more to the right through impact with the golf ball.  As you feel your arms can no longer stay straight, begin to pivot on your back foot and allow the club to finish behind your head.  Begin to move the club from behind your head back to the left side of your body while you still have your grip and arms are slightly bent.  Flick your wrist so the club head twirls and then falls back into your hands. People will think you’re better than you actually are.
